Last Friday, Freedom sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Easton Area.

Matt Heineman looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Colin Andrews was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Allentown Central Catholic made sure to put some runs up on the board against Marian Catholic on Saturday. Allentown Central Catholic put the hurt on Marian Catholic with a sharp 11-5 victory. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Anthony Grigoli looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Allentown Central Catholic let Nolan Young and Nicholas Vanfleet run wild. Young scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Vanfleet scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Vanfleet has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Martinez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Allentown Central Catholic pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Everything went Freedom's way against Allentown Central Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Freedom made off with a 9-2 victory. Will Freedom repeat their success, or does Allentown Central Catholic has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
