Basketball Recap: Meigs County's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Meigs County had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Polk County Wildcats with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-36. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 67-59 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Meigs County found their leader in freshman Gavin Malone, who shot 5-for-9 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Davis, who posted nine points and seven boards.
