Baseball Recap: Charlotte Gets the Win

Charlotte extended their postseason success on Saturday against North Fort Myers. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Red Knights. That's two games straight that the Fightin' Tarpons have won by exactly three runs.

Edwin Feliciano made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Feliciano was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Klossner, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. Brody Brantley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Charlotte and bumps their season record up to 20-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for North Fort Myers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Charlotte nor North Fort Myers have any future games scheduled.
