Baseball Recap: Nitro Comes Up Short

Nitro's last matchup with Hoover could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Huskies. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Nitro's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hoover, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Nitro will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hoover, they will host Nicholas County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
