If Culver Community was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Caston on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers fell just short of the South Central Satellites by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Culver Community was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made South Central work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 22-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Culver Community's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Milam, who had 21 digs. Milam has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Culver Community's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Culver Community will take on Tri-Township at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Central, they will square off against Kouts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
