Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Hillcrest put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Daniel Lions 10-4. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Garrett Shipman was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Brandon Sims also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hillcrest's record now sits at 4-0. As for Daniel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Hillcrest will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Mauldin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Rams' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Daniel will be paying especially close attention to Hillcrest's matchup: after Hillcrest faces off against Mauldin, they'll take on Daniel again at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
