Softball Recap: Jasper Vikings vs. Hayden Wildcats
Jasper put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They never let the Hayden Wildcats onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for Jasper who now have six in a row.
Missy Odom was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Odom has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 22 consecutive pitching appearances. Odom was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.
