Basketball Game Preview: Poteet Aggies vs. Pearsall Mavericks

The Poteet Aggies will face off against the Pearsall Mavericks at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Poteet has given up an average of 63 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Poteet's tournament run continued when they took on KIPP University Prep on Friday. The Aggies lost 56-33 to KIPP University Prep.

Meanwhile, Pearsall came up short against Crystal City on Monday and fell 67-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Mavericks still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Pearsall and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Poteet, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Poteet couldn't quite get it done against Pearsall when the teams last played back in December of 2020 as they fell 52-42. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
