Basketball Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

Monterey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Buckeye Panthers 69-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 62-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Buckeye, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-16.

Monterey and Harrisonburg will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buckeye, they will take on Glenmora at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
