Baseball Recap: Chaparral Victorious

On Friday Chaparral's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Wall Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since April 8, 2025.

Jose Torres was a standout: he got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eliel Rivera, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Chaparral will venture away from home to square off against Weiss at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Wall, they will challenge Pflugerville Connally at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
