Recap: Dwight Trojans vs. Roanoke-Benson Rockets
The Dwight Trojans's four-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Roanoke-Benson. This was payback for Dwight, who suffered a 51-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Dwight to victory were Mikayla Chambers and Kassy Kodat. Chambers scored 18 points, while Kodat scored 19 points. Lilly Duffy was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Dwight's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Roanoke-Benson, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-18.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dwight will take on Reed-Custer at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Reed-Custer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Monday. As for Roanoke-Benson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Putnam County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Roanoke-Benson in Illinois (Putnam County is ranked 220th, while Roanoke-Benson is ranked 566th).
