St. Patrick-St. Vincent and Saint Mary are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bruins will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Patrick-St. Vincent comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent came up short against Swett on Tuesday, falling 21-10.

Aiani Prater made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Wida, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Saint Mary's fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Joseph Notre Dame on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pilots by a score of 7-6.

Isabelle Koehn spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Saint Mary's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meilani Abraham, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Saint Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Patrick-St. Vincent has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Saint Mary's struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent might still be hurting after the 20-7 defeat they got from Saint Mary's when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
