Basketball Recap: Audrey Rollins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Nease over Bartram Trail

Nease lost against Bartram Trail back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nease Panthers fell to the Bartram Trail Bears 57-53.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Audrey Rollins, who posted 17 points and five steals. Rollins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Abigail Robinson was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Miranda Campos had a dynamite game for Bartram Trail, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Campos a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Esabella Brenneman, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Nease's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for Bartram Trail, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Nease will venture away from home to square off against Bolles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolles will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Nease surely won't give up without a fight. Bartram Trail has already played their next contest, a 75-27 win against First Coast on the 27th.
