Arvin has gone a perfect 10-0 against Foothill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Foothill will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Arvin extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Bears never let Golden Valley get on the board and left with a 13-0 win.
Alex Nunez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaime Pantoja, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Daniel Ramirez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Foothill entered their tilt with Del Oro on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Suns with a sharp 17-5 victory.
Like Arvin, Foothill also got a great game from a two-way player: Levi Price. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Price was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Foothill got a massive performance out of Carlos Ruano, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Eduardo Rios, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .545 or higher in six consecutive games.
Foothill pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Arvin, their win bumped their record up to 14-7-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Arvin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arvin was able to grind out a solid victory over Foothill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 8-3. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
