Baseball Recap: Charleroi Comes Up Short

Charleroi lost against McGuffey on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 5-4. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Charleroi's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for McGuffey, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Charleroi wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Keystone Oaks on the 14th. As for McGuffey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Brownsville on the 14th.
