Fort Calhoun is 9-1 against Concordia since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pioneers will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Fort Calhoun will be strutting in after a victory while Concordia will be coming in after a defeat.
Fort Calhoun took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 35-10. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with Logan View/Scribner-Snyder: they've now won five in a row.

Fort Calhoun's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Elofson led the charge by throwing for 314 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Those 314 passing yards gave Elofson a new career-high. Kaiden Rodriguez helped Elofson out on the ground, rushing for 79 yards and one score, while also picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD.
Fort Calhoun didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to a completion percentage of just 31.2%. The Pioneers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 51.9%.
Fort Calhoun didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Logan Brewer and Connor Hart. Dylan Keyser was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Concordia was not quite Douglas County West's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 21-7 bruising from the Falcon. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
This is the second loss in a row for Concordia and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Fort Calhoun, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Elofson and Drew Kulus. Elofson just won't slow down this season and has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 249 passing yards per game. Kulus has been a dominant force too and has averaged 106.7 passing yards per game.
Fort Calhoun took their win against Concordia when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 41-17 score. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
