Soccer Recap: Hoffman Estates Takes a Loss

Hoffman Estates was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Fremd Vikings. While losing is never fun, Hoffman Estates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Fremd are ranked 40th).

Hoffman Estates' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Fremd, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-2.

Coming up, Hoffman Estates is taking a road trip to square off against Palatine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoffman Estates' defense better be ready for this one: Palatine have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Fremd, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Neuqua Valley on the 26th.
