It was a proper cat-fight when Filer challenged Mountain Home on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 43-8. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.

Filer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Rea, who threw for 355 yards and five touchdowns. Rea has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Filer's leading receiver Talyn Weaver was Rea's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards and three scores.

Another reason for the win was Filer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Cache Palmer was especially locked on to Mountain Home's QB and sacked him three times. Palmer has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played. Another thorn in Mountain Home's side was Willow Taylor, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles.

Filer's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mountain Home, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Filer will venture away from home to square off against Buhl at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Home, they will head out to challenge Burley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
