Baseball Recap: Bay City Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bay City's offense. They came up short against the Needville Bluejays on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Blackcats haven't had much luck with the Bluejays recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Bay City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Needville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bay City will host Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Bay City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Needville, they will be playing at home against Houston Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Needville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Houston Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
