Baseball Recap: Rye Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rye). They never let the Edgemont Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Garnets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Rye pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Edgemont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Rye will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
