Softball Recap: Clinton-Massie Takes Down Benjamin Logan in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clinton-Massie walked away with it. They came out on top against the Benjamin Logan Raiders by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Ava Crombie was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Crombie was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Crombie wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Crombie, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kalli Jodrey was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Clinton-Massie's record is now 10-5. As for Benjamin Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

As of now, neither Clinton-Massie nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
