Volleyball Game Preview: Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers vs. Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings + How To Watch

The Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers will venture away from home to face off against the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradley-Bourbonnais is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Bradley-Bourbonnais got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Andrew, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Boilermakers have posted since October 19, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bradley-Bourbonnais got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-13.

Lydia Hammond was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and six assists. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high. Ella Haas also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Homewood-Flossmoor and Lincoln-Way Central, and Lincoln-Way Central kept the tradition alive. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Knights on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15.

Homewood-Flossmoor now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Bradley-Bourbonnais couldn't quite get it done against Homewood-Flossmoor when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Boilermakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
