The power rankings have been shaken up after a frantic week teeming with triumph and disappointment. We'll dive into that and more in this week's report.
Welcome
After a timid three display the game before, Buckingham Browne & Nichols sure wasn't afraid to show off its offense last week. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Tabor Academy, finishing up at 49 - 6. That 43-point margin marks the most Buckingham Browne & Nichols has won by all season. Thanks to its success, Buckingham Browne & Nichols cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 24th spot.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Bedford last week (their 6th in a row). It blew past Bishop Guertin 59 - 27. Bedford did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. With seven consecutive wins, Bedford boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between St. John's Prep (3rd in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Boston College High (25th). St. John's Prep took its contest against Boston College High by a conclusive 40 - 19 score. The win raised St. John's Prep up one spot in the power rankings.
