Basketball Recap: Cimarron Falls Despite Big Games from Cade Sonday and Trace Kopper

Cimarron lost against Ulysses back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cimarron Bluejays fell to the Ulysses Tigers 66-61.

Cimarron's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Trace Kopper, who went 8 for 17 en route to 25 points and three steals, and Cade Sonday, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Colby Wilson was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Cimarron has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Ulysses, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Cimarron will take on Southwestern Heights on Saturday. Ulysses has already played their next game (against Colby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
