On Monday Pittsburg's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Girard Trojans. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

The team relied heavily on Megan Johnston, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Brette Pasteur was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Pittsburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .419 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Pittsburg's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will challenge Field Kindley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Girard, they will be playing at home against Frontenac at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
