Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concord). They blew past the Albemarle Bulldogs 24-9 on Wednesday. With that victory, the Spiders brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Alexa Hooks was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
