Basketball Recap: Menifee County Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Menifee County faced off against Lee County on Saturday. The Menifee County Wildcats pulled ahead with a 64-63 photo finish over the Lee County Bobcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Menifee County's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Lee County, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menifee County will take on Rowan County in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menifee County is facing Rowan County at the right time seeing as Rowan County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lee County, they will be home for the holidays to greet Owsley County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Owsley County likes a good challenge.
