Basketball Game Preview: Belmont Cardinals vs. Alcorn Central Bears

The Belmont Cardinals will face off against the Alcorn Central Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Belmont had to suffer through a 69-32 loss at the hands of Booneville. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Blue Devils are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Alcorn Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Mantachie.

Alcorn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Belmont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
