Football Game Preview: Glendale Pirates vs. Riddle Irish

Glendale and Riddle are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Glendale was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 26-22 to Chiloquin. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Riddle ended up a good deal behind Camas Valley on Friday and lost 46-28. The loss continues a trend for the Irish in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost four in a row.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Riddle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Glendale strolled past Riddle when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 38-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
