Volleyball Recap: Swallows Charter Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Swallows Charter Academy entered their tilt with Rocky Ford on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Meloneers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-13.

Swallows Charter Academy found their leader in sophomore Riley James, who had seven digs and seven aces.

Swallows Charter Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive contests.

Swallows Charter Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Rocky Ford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
