Basketball Recap: Deweyville Comes Up Short

Deweyville lost against Danbury on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Deweyville Pirates were outmatched by the Danbury Panthers and fell 65-24. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Deweyville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Danbury, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-12.

Deweyville will head out on the road to take on Sabine Pass at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Deweyville is facing Sabine Pass at the right time seeing as Sabine Pass is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Danbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Hardin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Danbury will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: West Hardin will have lost four straight heading into Friday's contest.
