Softball Game Preview: Manchester Essex Hornets vs. Boston Latin Academy Dragons

The Manchester Essex Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Boston Latin Academy Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Hornets fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They skirted past Swampscott 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since April 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Boston Latin Academy made easy work of Minuteman Regional on Thursday and carried off a 10-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

The team relied heavily on Maddie Andrade, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Claire Hauck was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
