Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Outhouse and Olivia Hnem Lead Southwest to Victory

Southwest lost to Purdy back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Trojans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

While Southwest won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14.

Leading Southwest to victory were Olivia Hnem and Emma Outhouse. Hnem had 18 digs, while Outhouse had seven digs and five assists. That's the most assists Outhouse has posted over her last four matches.

Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 8-15-3. As for Purdy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Crane on the 6th. As for Purdy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Galena on the 7th.
