The dominant performance also gave Soler a new career-high in hits (two).
In other batting news, David Marte was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Anthony Acevado was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Community Health Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to Douglass Academy.
Community Health Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Washington Heights Expeditionary, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
