Basketball Game Preview: Casa Roble Rams vs. Dixon Rams

The Casa Roble Rams will head out to take on the Dixon Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Casa Roble knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Dixon likes a good challenge.

Casa Roble is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Natomas just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Nighthawks on the road by a 73-57 margin. The Rams were down 62-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite their loss, Casa Roble saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Benny Ambriz, who went 9 for 15 en route to 22 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Mason Pearcy, who posted ten points along with six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, Dixon hadn't done well against El Camino recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Dixon walked away with a 59-52 victory over El Camino. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Dixon's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Casa Roble, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-4.

Everything came up roses for Casa Roble against Dixon when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-49 victory. In that contest, Casa Roble amassed a halftime lead of 48-27, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
