Basketball Recap: Cummings Has No Trouble Against Graham

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seaforth, Cummings was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Graham Red Devils with a sharp 50-24 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cavaliers have posted since December 10, 2024.

Cummings found their leader in sophomore Laniya Johnson, who posted 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. ZiLazsha Johnson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Cummings' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Graham, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Cummings will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. Cummings is facing Northeast Guilford at the right time seeing as Northeast Guilford is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Graham, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
