Basketball Recap: Addison Schmidt and Adaline Sheplee Secure Win for Rice Lake

Rice Lake won the last time they faced Hudson and things went their way on Friday too. The Rice Lake Warriors were the clear victor by a 68-44 margin over the Hudson Raiders. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Rice Lake to victory were Adaline Sheplee and Addison Schmidt. Sheplee dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards, while Schmidt dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Sheplee's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emily Kalina, who posted nine points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Rice Lake and bumps their season record up to 12-2. As for Hudson, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rice Lake has already played their next matchup (against New Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hudson will look to defend their home court on January 24th against Eau Claire North at 7:15 p.m.
