Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs vs. Garner Trojans

Southeast Raleigh is 0-10 against Garner since December of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Garner Trojans at 7:45 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Southeast Raleigh turned things around against Enloe on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 50-38. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Eagles are ranked 410th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Garner had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 70-46 margin over the Bengals. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Southeast Raleigh pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Garner, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
