Huss extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Jaleel Smith. The Huskies breezed past the North Gaston Wildcats to the tune of 95-32 on Friday thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 13 steals. The game was his 14th in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who shot 63% from the field en route to 13 points and seven steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.

Huss' victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for North Gaston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

Coming up, Huss won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Aussie Travelers (Brisbane, Australia) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Gaston, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pinnacle Classical Academy at 2:00 p.m. on the 29th.
