Basketball Recap: Saline Takes a Loss

Saline was the 36-31 winner over Gibsland-Coleman when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saline Bobcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 43-42 to the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samora Sampson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 boards for Gibsland-Coleman. The game was Sampson's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Allen, who posted five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Saline's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Gibsland-Coleman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Saline has already played their next contest (against Claiborne Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gibsland-Coleman has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Green Oaks.
