It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Davis Sr. ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Del Oro Golden Eagles 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles last Monday, they had to take a 10-0 loss.

Davis Sr.'s victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eli Burnham, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. Jackson Vogt also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Davis Sr.'s record is now 10-6-1. As for Del Oro, they dropped their record down to 13-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Davis Sr. will square off against Granite Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Grizzlies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Del Oro, they will challenge Oak Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
