Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Forks' Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Forks won the last time they faced Raymond/South Bend and things went their way on Friday too. The Forks Spartans secured a 57-53 W over the Raymond/South Bend Ravens. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Ravens are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Raymond/South Bend still got an impressive performance from Chris Quintana, who posted 31 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Quintana a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Morris, who earned five points and 12 rebounds.

Forks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Raymond/South Bend, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing North Beach the next time they take the court. Raymond/South Bend will head out to face North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Forks will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
