Softball Game Preview: Lockhart Lions vs. Glenn Grizzlies

Lockhart is 0-8 against Glenn since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Lockhart will square off against Glenn at 7:00 p.m. Lockhart will be strutting in after a victory while Glenn will be coming in after a defeat.

Lockhart was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Lehman.

The team relied heavily on Genesis Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Presli Moebes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Glenn fell victim to Rouse and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Grizzlies were not able to get on the board.

Maddy Butler was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

Glenn's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Lockhart, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Lockhart might still be hurting after the 15-4 loss they got from Glenn in their previous matchup on March 4th. Can Lockhart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
