Basketball Recap: Dr. Krop Comes Up Short

Dr. Krop lost against North Miami back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dr. Krop Lightning fell to the North Miami Pioneers 63-57. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Dr. Krop saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Johans Richards dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anigh Gracia, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.

North Miami's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Joseph, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 19 points. Oween Francois was another key player, going 7 for 12 en route to 15 points.

Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for North Miami, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Dr. Krop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 103-63 loss against Central on the 9th. As for North Miami, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-62 victory against Mourning on the 9th.
