Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nash Central). They blew past the Southeast Halifax Trojans 71-23 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nash Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than JaKayla Gay, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Gay continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jayden Baggett was another key player, going 9 of 20 to rack up 22 points.

Nash Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Nash Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Southeast Halifax, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Coming up, Nash Central will be playing at home against Roanoke Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Halifax, they will venture away from home to challenge Wilson Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
