Basketball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Comes Up Short

If Ygnacio Valley was feeling good fresh off their 74-54 takedown of Alhambra last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ygnacio Valley Wolves were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 50-49 to the Benicia Panthers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wolves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Panthers are ranked 316th).

Ygnacio Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Benicia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

As of now, neither Ygnacio Valley nor Benicia have any future games scheduled.
