Basketball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Triumphs

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe won the last time they faced Sonoraville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors escaped with a win against the Sonoraville Phoenix by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Leading Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe to victory were Jared Mitchell and Quintaris Tanner-Garrett. Mitchell went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points and eight boards, while Tanner-Garrett went 7 for 17 on his way to 20 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Tanner-Garrett a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Champion Bowman, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
