Basketball Game Preview: Monta Vista Matadors vs. MacDonald Condor

The Monta Vista Matadors will face off against the MacDonald Condor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Monta Vista has six straight wins, MacDonald has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Monta Vista will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Lynbrook, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Monta Vista was the clear victors by a 68-48 margin over Lynbrook on Friday.

Meanwhile, MacDonald played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Saratoga 78-36. The Condor were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-21.

Monta Vista pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for MacDonald, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
