            Volleyball Recap: Borden Braves vs. Eastern Musketeers        
        
		
        
        
            Borden lost against Eastern back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Braves lost  3-0 to the Musketeers.
 Borden was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11,  25-23.
 McKenna Mullen paced Borden's offense, picking up ten kills. Mullen got some help from  Alivia Thomas and her 16 assists. Mullen also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Mallory Thomas, each putting up three.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Eliza Starrett, who  had 14  digs and one  assist.
Borden's  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-8. As for Eastern, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the  win, which was their 12th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Borden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Charlestown on the 30th. As for Eastern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against Jennings County on the 27th.
