Baseball Recap: Batesville's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Batesville was the 4-1 winner over Ashdown when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell 5-2 to the Panthers on Friday. The matchup marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Batesville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Daughtery, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Batesville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Ashdown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Batesville has already played their next contest, a 12-7 defeat against Warren on the 28th. As for Ashdown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against Woodlawn on the 29th.
